Nominations open for Victorian Senior of the Year Awards 2009
Do you know a senior Victorian who is making an extraordinary difference to their community?
Why not nominate them in the Victorian Senior of the Year Awards?
To be eligible, nominees must be residents of Victoria aged 60 years and over and meet all criteria in the nomination form. The 2009 Awards will be presented at a reception at Government House on 2 October 2009.

Victorian Seniors Festival
The Victorian Seniors Festival is an annual statewide festival, celebrating the contribution made by Senior Victorians.
More than 1000 events are held across the state each year and over a ¼ million programs are delivered through Coles and community outlets. Living Longer Living Stronger Conference 2009

Seniors Rights Victoria opens to promote the safety of older Victorians
A new education and legal service to help prevent and respond to incidents of abuse, mistreatment or neglect of older people has been officially opened by the Minister for Senior Victorians, Lisa Neville.
