There are many groups and organisations in Victoria that promote or provide opportunities for seniors to be active.

Living Longer Living Stronger™, run by the Council on the Ageing (Victoria), aims to increase the range and quality of strength training programs for older people. 110 Living Longer Living Stronger™ programs operate around Victoria.
Lift for LifeŽ, developed by the International Diabetes Institute, is a safe and effective strength training program conducted in an enjoyable, friendly and social environment. Cycling
Bicycle Victoria maintains lists of local cycling groups that you can contact for information and support.There are many excellent bike paths in the Melbourne metropolitan area.

Keen-Agers table tennis
Keen-Agers is an association of retired volunteers who are encouraging and facilitating the development of social table tennis clubs for older people. Keen-Agers table tennis promotes recreational table tennis as an enjoyable physical activity for older residents and retirees in local communities and focuses on the benefits deriving from such activities in a friendly social setting. Regional sports assemblies operate in rural and regional Victoria to promote sport and active recreation in their communities. A number of sports assemblies promote participation by older people.
University of the Third Age
The University of the Third Age (U3A) is a learning cooperative of older people which encourages healthy ageing by enabling members to share educational, creative and leisure activities. There are over 60 U3As in Victoria. Life Activities clubs
Life Activities clubs are voluntary groups of older people formed to provide sporting, leisure, personal development and social activities. Membership of a life activities club is open to men and women in the over 50s age group whether retired, nearing retirement or still in the workforce. Twenty-nine life activities clubs have been established in Melbourne and regional Victoria. Neighbourhood houses
Neighbourhood Houses (also known as Community Houses, Living and Learning Centres, Neighbourhood Centres, and Learning Centres) are local organisations that provide social, educational and recreational activities for their communities in a welcoming supportive environment. Many Neighbourhood Houses offer activities for older people.
